school events or sponsorship, and then complete the written quiz at school in
teams of three or four.
- The quiz takes approximately 45 minutes and
comprises 100 questions. Trivia Challenge aligns
with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) core
interrelated strands of Physical, Personal and Social Learning,

Citizenship, The Arts, English, The Humanities, Mathematics, Science and
Technology
- Students are encouraged to learn about epilepsy
by reading a brochure designed for young people and by watching a video
"Epilepsy. Yes you can
help".
- Incentive prizes are offered to recognise the
efforts of students and schools who achieve high levels of fundraising.
- Teachers are asked to run the quiz on a day that
suits them within the month of May.
After the event, the money raised individually by the children is sent to
the Epilepsy
Foundation in the form of a cheque.

Fundraising
- Trivia Challenge is a vital part of our awareness
and fundraising program. The demand for our help by people affected by
epilepsy stretches our resources almost beyond our means every year. With
help from our sponsors, certificates and prizes are awarded to students as
an incentive to fundraise.
- Schools
are able to select a fundraising method that suits them. While sponsorship forms are included in
the pack sent to schools, other methods include whole school free dress
days, fun runs, fantasy days, etc. Fundraising
incentives
